Melvin's Mobile Auto Detailing provides mobile auto detailing and power washing at our customers' homes and businesses in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, from Germantown, Maryland. What you send us. When you request a quote, we collect your name, your phone number and the ZIP code where your vehicle is, plus anything else you choose to add: your email address, your vehicle, the service you are interested in and your message. When you call or text us, or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you include.

Collected automatically. Like most websites, ours receives your IP address, browser and device type when you visit. Our quote form stores your IP address and browser details with each request, which helps us block spam.

Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device type and your approximate location (city level, not your exact address), using cookies.

• To reply to your request, give you a quote and schedule your appointment.
• To do the work you booked and keep a record of it.
• To understand which pages help visitors, so we can improve the site.
• To keep the site and our form secure and free of spam.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We use a few trusted services to run the site. Each receives only what it needs:

• Our web host, which stores the website and the requests sent through it.
• Our email provider, which delivers your quote requests to us.
• Google Analytics, for visit statistics.
• Google, for the reviews shown on our homepage (your browser loads the reviewers' photos from Google), the maps on our Contact and Service Area pages, and the typefaces on our pages. When these load, Google receives your IP address, and the maps may set cookies.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies are small files your browser saves. We use them for:

• Analytics (Google Analytics), to count visits and see how the site is used.
• Maps (Google), when a map on our Contact or Service Area page loads.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. To stop Google Analytics from counting your visits, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

We keep quote requests and messages for as long as we need them to help you and keep a record of our work. When we no longer need something, we delete it.

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you before we act, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.

We protect the site with HTTPS, keep WordPress and its plugins up to date, and limit who can see the requests you send us. No website can promise perfect security, but we take care of your information.

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
